My work is based entirely on the Life Sciences.
Nothing I use as source material can be seen directly by eye, but instead I use ideas resulting from scientific experiment and theory. The stories that these studies reveal about life and the living world are quite amazing.
My endeavour as a painter is to weave the fascination I have for each subject into a visual form that can both be true to the story, and also express my enchantment and excitement with it.
